History & development
Krishnamurti Paddhati takes its name from K. S. Krishnamurti and represents a named modern Indian teaching tradition. Its distinctive technical emphasis is the subdivision of nakshatras into unequal sub-lord sectors, making the selected degree particularly important.
Mythology & symbolic world
KP retains the Indian planetary and mansion vocabulary. The extra subdivisions do not introduce nine newly observed celestial objects: they assign existing period lords to mathematical portions of a mansion.
Provenance: where the rules come from
Anthony Writer’s teaching document specifies the proportional sub-lord construction. Swiss Ephemeris supplies a KP sidereal reference, but choosing that reference alone does not execute KP judgement.

Interpretation methods
Build the hierarchy
Identify the sign and mansion, then partition the mansion using each lord’s Vimshottari share of 120 years. Apply the school’s sequence before examining any cusp significators.
Ketu’s seven-year share gives 800 arcminutes × 7/120 = 46 minutes 40 seconds of arc; this is a sector size, not a duration.

- Subdivisions make rounding and birth-time uncertainty consequential.
