Draconic astrology appears in modern practitioner literature associated with writers including Dennis Elwell and Pam Crane. The reviewed exposition by Victor Olliver describes a natal chart rotated so that the north lunar node becomes zero Aries. It is a derived zodiac, not an additional sky observed at birth.
Mythology & symbolic world
Dragon imagery refers to the traditional head and tail names of the lunar nodes and their connection with eclipses. Some modern readers interpret the rotated chart through soul purpose or past-life themes; these are spiritual readings, not information measured by the nodal calculation.
Provenance: where the rules come from
The explorer rotates the recorded tropical longitudes using the selected true or mean North Node. It shows the original and rotated positions, node-relative speed and contacts back to the tropical chart. Its wheel does not display natal or rotated house cusps.
How it is calculated
Choices that change the result: Choose true or mean nodes, a body, overlay method and a 0–10° maximum orb. Blaquier's conjunction/opposition method defaults to 3°; a different orb or five-aspect mode is an exploration setting.

Interpretation methods
Read one position through both references
Choose a body in the wheel, selector or table. Read its original and rotated sign, then inspect its contacts to the tropical chart. In Blaquier's approach, the draconic factor is a symbolic motivation expressed through the tropical factor.
A natal longitude of 80° with a 20° node becomes 60°. The same subtraction applies to every body, so internal longitude separations do not change.
Keep the comparison rule visible
The named Blaquier option lists conjunctions and oppositions and starts at a 3° orb. The exploration option also includes sextiles, squares and trines. Read the orb and separation beside each row before interpreting it.
A 61° separation is a sextile with 1° orb. It can appear in five-aspect exploration, but it does not belong to the displayed Blaquier conjunction/opposition set.
