Word origin · etymology
Sanskrit revatī, feminine of revat, wealthy or abundant.
The lexicons connect the word with the wealth vocabulary of rayi. Revatī is also used for other proper names; those namesakes are not automatically the mansion's presiding deity.

The wealthy-word family and a guiding deity are historically attested. The gentle transition reading is an original symbolic application, not proof of a person's destiny.
