Scholarly editions distinguish omen collections concerned with king and kingdom from later birth records listing planetary positions. The Enuma Anu Enlil tradition and surviving horoscope tablets therefore should not be merged into a single modern natal preset.

Agreement with a reconstructed planetary position supports chronology, not the truth of the omen.
