Finding this marker

This resolved-input workspace starts the first lunar month at Yin. It advances to the entered month, then counts backwards by the hour-branch offset for Ming and forwards for Body, taking Zi as offset zero. Leap-month attribution and late-Zi date changes must be resolved before using the tool.

What the marker can tell you here

The marker identifies a chart location. The inspector lists the resident principal stars and introduces the topic attached to that palace. It does not infer a complete character portrait, health outcome or future event from this marker alone.

Word origin · etymology

Chinese descriptive compound; specialist chronology uncertain.

A descriptive Chinese compound: 命 (mìng) includes life and allotted fate; 宮 (gōng) means a dwelling or palace. These character senses explain the translation “Life palace.” The compound’s first specialist use is unverified here.
